Speaker – Alexyss K. Tylor "Vagina Power"

The only thing controversial that can be said about Alexyss K. Tylor is the slang she uses to connect with the demographics she feels needs to to be desperately reached, and if that is what she is being criticized on well it’s like saying I don’t like Jesus cause he was naga complexted lol. Well I found Ms. Tylor on the world wide web quite some time ago and her straight to the bone marrow talk and good old humor had me literally running tears from my eyes, but at the same time saying damn that is true what she just said and I see the topics she figure four leg locks and snaps at the knees everyday in my community and yours. She has appeared on the Maury Show, The Tosh O Show and hosts her own Vagina Power series, she is a author, lecturer, and founder of a non – profit for abused women and children. I see that she now takes on creating her own brand of products for hair and skin but her number one asset to me is her commanding presence in front of that microphone and speaking to us the people in our down trodden mental state and communities. Her light touched deep within, in places subconsciously I don’t think most are ready to face, but must to evolve. She is spiritual dealing with auric readings and healing, empowering women especially our black women, mothers of civilization to get past issues and heal themselves for they are the key to life and nations of the future from block to block hood to hood and beyond. I can say I can’t wait to see her in person at a lecture near you or any event she can fit in to be heard.

Art & Spoken Word – By.Infinity

Born, Darel Joseph, in the inner city of New Orleans, Louisiana, I currently exists as Infinity. I’ve been writing poetry for the past twenty two years. Although I have been off the underground scene for years, I am currently making performance art. I am an artist (in every sense of the word), for I work in multiple mediums. I am currently pursuing a MFA from the University of New Orleans as a painter and street photographer. I am in essence a collage artist meaning I make collages. I’ve made paper, paint, photo, and video collages; recently I have begun to make assemblage art which is a physical collage of material. I recently have been working with video and sculpture in attempts to merge my spoken word into fine arts performances. Finally, I am in the process making my first album. Years ago I declined the offer to make cd’s under two local record labels, because I was not given the option of control of my art. I did not want to be a puppet in the great scheme of modern pop culture which has destroyed hip hop art. I have been working underground making great attempts of not recording with the numerous rappers and producers who have requested I lay my essence on their tracks. My art is social-politically driven from the stance of growing up in a community that was designed to prevent the social and economic growth of the individual. I have been politically involved in my community by educating those who are oppressed by the same circumstances that I continuously attempt to overcome. Sometimes if time prevails, I work with younger people by tutoring them in math, English, and exposing them to art and poetry writing. I am currently writing several essays on the topic racism, sexism, and classism demonstrated with sometimes personal experiences and examples of how we are forced in a cycle of hopelessness. I am now attempting to emerge from the underground to expose such realities.

Hair & Makeup – Jaja Radzwan

Jaja Radzwan
Hairstylist and a makeup artist 3 years and counting I entered the field right after high school. So, how did I get myself into cosmetic and beauty? Well, it started off with a very deep interest in music. Percussion to be exact. I had plans to venture into music and performing arts, and as a matter of fact, I received many invitations from music colleges. But as the saying “One man’s meat is another man’s poison”. My mother declined my interest. It is a norm for parents to make sure that their children get proper and professional education, such as law, medicine, engineering and more. Music definitely did not make it to that list. So, that was the end of music for me. I eventually received a scholarship for cosmetology/hair & makeup and went on to graduate hair school and started working in a hair salon for some time in Malaysia. Now I am exploring opportunities outside Malaysia. I am currently in Paris, France exploring new horizons for the first time. I am learning and have learned a lot along the way and makeup school Paris was fantastic. I had great people around me and I was inspired, and most importantly, I was happy. I had many internships and have met so many amazing characters and talented people. I was blessed to make it to Paris. What I do now is I work for magazines, modeling agencies, fashion designers, and I do independent photo shoots with freelance models and photographers. In fact, I also provide house to house services for makeup and hair. I travel frequently all around Europe. At the same time, I attend evening French course to buck up my language proficiency, and I do have plans to be here for a while. Over year living in Europe, I don’t intend to stop no slowing down. So you’ll see me around for quite some time now.
