Fashion Design – Lolita Evonne

Lolita Evonne
Since setting foot in the fashion industry, the talented and innovative Lolita Dorsey has always been an independent, one-woman operation. From designing and making her own clothes to running her own business and store front, Lolita has always marched to her own tune. Lolita started making her own jewelry and clothing at the tender age of 15. She later learned to make patterns from books and tutorials. Over the years, Lolita honed her skills in creating eye-catching, feminine clothing and accessories with a vintage flare.

Her natural talent for design and keen eye for what’s in style quickly became evident when her online store, Brown Fox, expanded into a Milwaukee-based boutique in 2004. Brown Fox Boutique offered an array of affordable, fashion-forward clothes and accessories that Lolita hand-picked. The boutique also featured Lolita’s own label of handmade vintage-inspired designs.

Driven by her creativity and love for all things vintage, Lolita’s focus is now on expanding her eponymous collection, Lolita Evonne. “I design my collection for women of all ages who like me, think outside the box. I create for women who appreciate the look and feel of vintage fabrics and textures, and appreciate originality, creativity, and unique designs,” Lolita says. The Lolita Evonne collection features earth-friendly, hand-made designs created from recycled, reused, and vintage fabrics. The texture and fun details of each fabric attribute special characteristics to each piece. As a result, Lolita Evonne creations are entirely one-of-a-kind.

Drawing inspiration from Betsey Johnson, Carolina Herrera, Gwen Stefani, and Zac Posen, Lolita’s design aesthetic is a balance of lady-like sophistication and eclectic fun. Comfort and the right fit are also essential factors. It is important to the designer that her clients feel both at ease and in the spotlight. A perfect combination of the right fit, original details, and timeless design, Lolita Evonne pieces are must-have items in every woman’s wardrobe.
